Ground Cherry Growing Tips
Ground cherry seeds need to be started indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Thin seedlings when they reach 2" tall and transplant into individual pots. Transplant outdoors 24" apart in rows 36" apart. Culture is similar to tomatoes. Plants can be trellised or caged to keep them well contained, or the plants can be allowed to sprawl on the ground.
