Onion Growing Tips

Sow onion seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before transplanting in flats ¼" deep and spaced 1" in all directions. If they get to tall, cut about ½ of the stem off and allow to re-grow. This will strengthen the seedlings. Onions can be planted as soon as the soil can be prepared in the spring.
